Eczema Resources
Midwest Allergy Sinus Asthma, SCEczema is the name for a group of common, noninfectious conditions that typically cause the skin to become red, itchy, and inflamed. While the exact cause of eczema is unknown, more than thirty million Americans have some kind of this condition.
There are multiple types of eczema that exist, such as:
– Atopic dermatitis
– Contact dermatitis
– Dyshidrotic eczema
– Nummular eczema
– Seborrheic dermatitis
– Stasis dermatitis
It is possible to have more than one type of eczema at once, although all types can cause itching and redness, but some may also cause blistering, “weeping,” and/or peeling of the skin.
