Asthma Resources

Midwest Allergy Sinus Asthma, SC

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the inside walls of your airways, making them sore and swollen. This makes them quite sensitive, and they might react strongly to particles that you are allergic to or find irritating. When your airways react to these things, they get narrower, causing your lungs to get less air. When this reaction becomes much worse than usual, it’s called an asthma attack. Severe attacks may require immediate medical attention can be fatal if left untreated.

Symptoms can include, but are not limited to, wheezing, excessive coughing, tightening of the chest, and shortness of breath.
